Why you should visit the Cairngorms, Scotland in Autumn.
October is a wonderful time of year to visit Scotland. Crisp , clear mornings and rust tinged hills, Spectacular sunsets that set the sky on fire followed by hot chocolate next to a wood burning stove. If you are lucky, you might catch sight of a fairy at Loch Uaine (the green loch). If not, you can enjoy walks around the many beautiful lochs and woodland trails, entertain the kids on the funicular up Cairngorm followed by a hot toady at the top or head out canoeing on the water instead. If you are into photography, you will find an abundance of inspiration in the Cairngorms. It's often neglected in favour of the West Coast but there is so much to see and capture that it deserves its place on the photography must see map of Scotland.
