Lazy Sundays - May
I'm a compulsive photo-taker. Winter in Scotland is long and dark and my camera largely hibernates. But when those long days return, l just can't help myself. So I've decided to start a new photo series called lazy Sundays in which l share some of the more random moments of my life. Without further ado, here's a collection from May.
I'm trying to get up before the kids and just take some time for myself. So far though, I've found that if l get up earlier, the kids get up earlier. This was one of those rare mornings that l managed to carve out 15 whole minutes to myself. It was a pretty murky start but soon brightened into a beautiful day.
He's getting old and doesn't spend nearly as much time outside as he used to.
Sundays often involve a visit to a castle/ gardens in the north-east. We are really spoilt for choice here and some of them have fantastic playgrounds for the kids. These are just a few images from the greenhouse and wild garden at Crathes Castle. I'm hoping if l visit enough, I'll magically turn into a gardner extraordinaire. Not likely though.
My youngest with her 'wab'. l make a point of trying to capture my kids sleeping. Nothing induces the mamma sentimentality and nostalgia like old pictures of my 'babies' sleeping.
Milk and cookies look better in photographs when you buy unnecessary vintage looking milk bottles.
We have the tiniest patch of bluebells in our garden. I try and make the most of it. Also l spent an inordinate amount of time trying to get rid of the green cast on her face. Meh.
Cleaned up my work desk. Makes such big difference. Desperately trying to keep it looking like this.
