Book recommendations with a Scottish theme/ link

It’s Book Week Scotland this week and as such l shared a few of my favourite reads with my followers over on Instagram. The series proved quite popular so I thought I’d share it here too.

Cairngorms National Park

The Cairngorms is my playground. It’s a truly stunning part of the world and i have many happy memories from here including hiking my first munro (Lochnagar, of course), swimming in lochs (my first dip was in Loch An Eilean), stargazing (minimal light pollution = sparkling dark skies) and plenty of forest adventures. These first two books focus on this incredibly beautiful but wild landscape.

Memoirs

These two memoirs are at the top of my list. I’ve read both several times. They will never leave my collection. Stunning, absorbing writing from both writers.
